* Note: If Recovery Tools or Mobile Uncle method don't work then you'll have to manually flash Clockworkmod to your phone. See how to manually create /flash Clockworkmod to a Tecno phone to learn how to do this. Also, ensure to backup your phone with MTK Droid Tools before proceeding just in case something goes wrong.
1. Download Recovery tools - flasher or Flashify/ Mobile Uncle
2. Download the ClockworkMod recovery image for your Tecno phone  from the links at the bottom of this post and save it directly to your SD card (not inside any folder)
3. Make sure you Phone is rooted and you have backed it up using MTK Droid Tools
4. Install and Launch Recovery tools -flasher and grant it super user privilege when prompted.
5. Select I know the risk then select Flash Other Recovery
6. Navigate to and select the ClockworkMod recovery image you copied to your SD card then tap Yes, please.
7. When completed, You'' see Recovery Flashed, reboot into recovery? select Yes please. You should now see Clockworkmod recovery instead of the stock recovery
8. Go to Backup and restore then backup your current ROM

    my j7(tecno boom) screen isin't showing anything on screen after i flashed it probably the recovery image wasn't compatible, the fon is working but i have to use an app on my PC (mobo play)for its operation. should i replace the screen or i can fix it via a software??? kindly help

I found that there must be a space between T and + in the code. so make sure the code is like below and it will definitely work: AT +EGMR=1,7,”IMEI_num_here” (do you see the space now?) all applications and most write-ups online do not include the space! so when you get to that AT page make sure you insert the "space" by yourself... Just go to your android Market       search for wifi Hotspot and Usb Tethering 2. Download the software, make sure u have a working Data . 3. Once it opens,  connect your hotspot and you should be connected incase your Hotspot still did not work. Just go to options change your device profile. Hurray you are done....
